Westchester Symphonic Winds holds auditions periodically throughout the season, on an as-needed basis. Players who would like to join the organization should contact the Personnel Director, Claudia Mickelson:

Membership is available to musicians capable of performing the level of its music. Please provide your name, telephone number/email address, instrument, and a brief description of your playing experience.

During the audition, prospective members will need to demonstrate their musical proficiency by playing works, or excerpts of works, that represent a range of styles and characteristics. Prospective members should be prepared to demonstrate their technique as well as their "musicality". The audition lasts on average no more than a few minutes. Allowance is made for players who need to “brush up”, provided that evidence of the player’s experience and potential for musical proficiency is apparent. Westchester Symphonic Winds considers for membership all players who have a passion for symphonic band literature.
